Brown Spots – The candela laser creates a beam of high-intensity light. This light energy penetrates the skin to deliver a controlled specific amount of therapeutic heat. Candela laser provides optimal treatment to achieve remarkable results. The target pigment absorbs the therapeutic heat and it is destroyed while the healthy cells are left intact. the area is initially darker. Generally within 7 to 14 days, the pigment flakes away.

You will wear protective safety eye wear. The laser practitioner will guide the laser’s handheld probe to the treatment area. A short pulse of cryogen cooling spray may come before each laser pulse. The time that a laser treatment takes depends upon the condition and the area being treated.
The Candela’s cooling technology minimizes potential discomfort. Some patients describe the laser pulse as the snapping of a rubber band on the skin. For some treatments a topical anesthetic may be applied to the skin prior to the procedure.
The number of sessions depends on the treatment you require and the condition of your skin. Some conditions may clear up in only one treatment. However, many factors impact the efficacy of individual laser treatments, including the severity of the condition being treated. Thus, multiple treatments might be necessary.
Your risks are minimal. They may include purpura (a laser bruise), redness, blistering, hyper pigmentation, hypo pigmentation, and swelling in the treated area. Generally, these usually do not last more than a few days. Permanent side effects such as hyper pigmentation or scarring are rare.

After your treatment, you should avoid sun exposure. Daily apply sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher. In the first few days after treatment, don’t scrub or rinse treated areas with abrasive skin cleansers. Additional skin care may be advised.
